Sankar Kavirajan

(Ayurvedic Marma Therapist)

Sankar Kavirajan, is an 'Ayurvedic' marma therapist trained and qualified from Kerala, the epicenter of Ayurveda in India. Born into a family with roots in traditional 'Ayurveda' practice, Sankar gained immense knowledge through experience and professional education. He has 18 years of experience, of which the last 12 years have been in London. He has divised a unique massage technique by blending 'Ayurveda' and 'Kalarippayattu' (traditional healing from the martial art).

As a 'panchakarma' therapist, Sankar is capable of performing all aspects of 'panchakarma' like 'vamana', 'virechana', 'vasti', 'nasya', & 'rakthamokshana' and pre procedures of 'panchakarma' like 'snehana' & 'swedana'.

Sankar started his practice in London in 2002 at the ‘Fluid Form Yoga Centre’, Primrose hill. There he had the chance to work with the Australian ‘Hatha yoga’ specialist Tony Susanjara and Christina Patares. Eventually in 2003 he opened a practice at 2 Napier Road, London W14. At Napier Road, Sankar had the privilege to work with Ms Gudrun Jonnsson, the world famous bio-path naturalist, where he attained the knowledge of fusing western diet in the Ayurvedic way. He also had clinics one day a week at the special yoga centre Kensal Rise and the Aquila health club at Knightsbridge.
Sankars clientele include professional dancers, martial art performers, actors, sports people etc.

Sankar has conducted seminars, workshops & exhibitions about Ayurveda in the UK and around Europe.
